Nanotechnology in Action

The active ingredient was reduced in size to very small particles ranging from 0.1 to 100 nanometers in diameter. To put this into perspective, an atom has an average diameter of around 0.1 nanometer.
This asset’s benefit lies in its ability to permeate hair or skin layers more effectively due to its smaller size, resulting in improved treatment efficacy.
Nanotechnology is used in various cosmetic products such as creams, serums, lotions, and gels.
There are various types of nano raw materials found in current cosmetics available on the market, such as glioxylic acid, keratin, aloe vera extract, ginkgo biloba extract, vitamins A, E, and C, argan oil, coconut oil, almond oil, linseed oil, melaleuca oil, amino acids, keratins, silicones, and more.
The most commonly utilized nanostructures in cosmetics are liposomes and nanospheres.
Liposomes are circular structures made of a double layer of phospholipids that have a strong attraction to the skin, allowing active ingredients to be contained within them.
Nanostructures are like liposomes, but they are composed of polymers instead of lipids.
